Manuel Gomez

Manuel Gomez

Manuel Gomez was born in Costa Rica, a tropical country where nature is present with a great exuberance of color; this has left a deep impression on his heart and is reflected on his work. This artist has experimented with a variety of medias and materials, whose knowledge has been facilitated by the exercise of his profession as a Chemical Engineer in the field of painting. His continuos search for new forms of expression led him to discover the pleasure of Street Painting which has become a passion since he began his participation in the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival in 2008.

This art has the special charm of the ephemeral and is a huge challenge in trying to make the work seem alive in an environment as hostile as the paviment

Some of the events in which Manuel has participated include:

  • Art 1 Gallery (Gastonia, NC)
  • North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Lincoln Cultural Center, NC
  • McColl Center for Visual Arts, NC
  • Hispanic Heritage Celebration at PBCC
  • Museo de las Amercias, Miami
  • Lake Worth Street Painting Festival
  • First Sarasota Streel Painting Festival Royal Palm Street Painting Festival
An artist is not a dreamer but a doer of dreams, and as such has a moral obligation to carry the viewer into a world where everything is possible
